From our studio in Porto to carefully selected production partners, we take a considered approach to how Kahuna Kids products are made — with a focus on quality, practical design and careful production.
Less Waste. More Intention.
Where possible, we produce in smaller quantities, keep a close eye on stock and carry out production and finishing in our Porto studio.
This allows us to respond to demand more flexibly and avoid committing to larger production runs than we need.
We believe making carefully, producing appropriately and knowing how our products are made are important parts of building a responsible business.
Atelier Portugal
In 2024, we launched Atelier Portugal — our initiative to bring more of our production and finishing into our own studio in Porto.
Where possible, we print and hand-finish products ourselves. Working this way gives us greater control over quantities, quality and the finishing of each piece.
It also gives us greater visibility over the production process and allows us to work more flexibly according to demand.
Designed in Porto
Every Kahuna Kids product starts with an idea inspired by family life, the ocean and time spent outdoors.
We design our products in Porto, considering how they will be used by children and families in everyday life.
Carefully Selected Materials & Production
We select materials and production methods according to the requirements of each product, considering factors including quality, durability, function and intended use.

Produced in Smaller Quantities
Where possible, we manufacture in-house or work with selected production partners and produce according to expected demand.
Our approach allows us to keep closer track of stock and respond to changing demand rather than committing to unnecessarily large production runs.
Studio Finish
Our Porto studio gives us the opportunity to personally check, finish and prepare products before they reach you.
Where applicable, products are printed, sewn or hand-finished in our studio as part of our Atelier Portugal initiative.
