Refund policy
EU Right of Withdrawal (14-Day Cooling-Off Period)
If you are a consumer ordering from within the European Union, you have a statutory right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days, without giving any reason. This right is in addition to, and works alongside, our own 30-day return policy described below.
Withdrawal period
- For goods: 14 days starting from the day you (or someone you nominate) receives the last item in your order.
- If your order contains multiple items delivered separately, the 14 days start from the day you receive the final item.
How to exercise your right of withdrawal You can notify us of your decision to withdraw in either of the following ways:
- Use our online withdrawal form — the fastest and recommended method. Go to Submit Withdrawal, enter your order number and email address, confirm the item(s) you wish to withdraw from, and submit. You'll receive an automatic email confirmation with the date and time of your request, which you should keep for your records.
- Contact us directly by emailing contact@kahunakids.com or writing to Kahuna Kids, Rua do Rosário 242, 4050-522, Porto, Portugal, with a clear statement that you are withdrawing from your contract (including your order number).
To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is enough that you send your withdrawal notice before the 14-day period expires — you do not need to have already returned the goods by then.
After you withdraw Once we've received your withdrawal request, please send the goods back to us without undue delay and within 14 days of telling us you wish to withdraw, to:

- Items should be returned unused, unworn, with original tags and, where possible, in their original packaging.
- Unless we have offered to collect the goods ourselves, you are responsible for the direct cost of returning the item(s).
- We will refund all payments received from you for the withdrawn item(s), including standard delivery charges, using the same payment method you used for the original transaction, unless you expressly agree otherwise. We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back, or you have supplied evidence of having sent them back, whichever is earlier.
- Refunds will be issued without undue delay and, in any event, no later than 14 days from the day we are informed of your decision to withdraw or, if later, from when we receive the returned goods.
Exceptions to the right of withdrawal In line with EU consumer protection rules, the right of withdrawal does not apply to:
- Custom-made or personalised products (for example, items from our Personalized Clothing / Surf Slogans range made to your specification);
- Sealed goods which are not suitable for return for hygiene reasons if unsealed after delivery (e.g. swimwear where hygiene seals have been removed);
- Gift cards.
This statutory right of withdrawal does not affect your legal warranty rights for faulty or non-conforming goods, which apply separately and are not subject to the 14-day limit.
Our 30-Day Return Policy
In addition to your statutory EU right of withdrawal above, we offer all customers a more generous 30-day return policy, giving you 30 days after receiving your item to request a return — even where the EU right of withdrawal would not apply (for example, after the 14-day window has passed, or for non-EU orders).
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You'll also need to include the receipt or proof of purchase.
Items being returned are returned at the customer's expense and risk.

We will refund the price you paid for your item(s), back to your original payment method. Please allow up to 14 days to receive your refund.

Damages and issues Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
Exceptions / non-returnable items Certain types of items cannot be returned, like custom products (such as special orders or personalised items). Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.
Exchanges The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.
Refunds We will notify you once we've received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you'll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
If an order is returned to Kahuna Kids by the courier due to non-collection from a pickup point (when direct delivery is unsuccessful), the postage cost will be deducted from the refund amount.
